Relationships Ireland is delighted to announce that it will be marking its 50th birthday with a very special conference at the Mansion House, Dublin on Saturday, June 30th 2012. A keynote address will be provided by world renowned expert on marriage and relationships, Dr. John Gottman, who was a regular contributor to the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’ and has also contributed to ‘Good Morning America’, ‘The Today Show’ and ‘CBS Morning News’ on numerous occasions.

Dr. Gottman has also written or co-written 40 books including New York Times bestseller “Seven Principles for Making a Marriage Work”. His views will be of particular interest as marriages and relationships across the country become strained due to factors such as difficult economic conditions.

He is also developed the ‘Porcupine Sex’ theory in order to explain the benefits of emotional engagement between partners.

Following Dr. Gottman will be Charles Handy, the world renowned business and management guru and bestselling author. Handy will reflect on how the rapidly changing world of work and technology is impacting on relationships and families. A star attraction in his own right, Handy is also giving a talk to the business community and members of the public on Thursday evening 28th June.
